A monthly membership, a one-time donation, or pro bono and volunteer work. Whether you give money, time or skills, there are many ways into the TBJ cycle.

§ 1. Why Support

Your support becomes someone else's journey across borders

The Borderless Journey is run as a social business. It is built on many overlapping forms of capital and contribution: donations from individual and corporate supporters, the time and expertise of our volunteer and pro bono members, business profits recycled into scholarships, and the knowledge and care of everyone who takes part.

Support from companies and individuals reaches the younger generation as scholarships, and each recipient in turn passes the opportunity on to someone else. Together, we open up a space to encounter the world, regardless of financial background.

§ 4. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Q. Can I support with a small amount?

Yes. TBJ Crew starts at ¥1,100 per month, and scholarships and donations start at ¥150,000. Pro bono and volunteer roles involve no financial commitment — you contribute your time and skills.

Q. Can I stop supporting at any time?

You can cancel TBJ Crew (monthly) by contacting support@smoooth.co.jp at least two weeks before your next renewal date. Scholarships and donations are one-time payments, so you will not be charged on a recurring basis.

Q. How is my contribution used?

It goes mainly toward students' and young people's participation fees (our scholarship fund). It fuels a cycle that opens up opportunities to encounter the world, regardless of financial background.

Q. What if I'd like to support as a company?

We have dedicated information for companies. Organizations can get involved in ways only a company can — building connections with young people and the next generation, or channeling funds into scholarships. Please see our "For Companies" page for details.

Q. Do I need experience or skills to do pro bono or volunteer work?

Not at all. Start with whatever sparks your interest, and we'll work out your involvement together with the team. You can build your expertise as you go.
